Inca Trails and Treks

Machu Picchu - Dramatically perched atop 2,000 feet above the deep Urubamba River Gorge, one of the Seven Wonders of the World, Machu Picchu is the finest example of outstanding Inca stone architecture. This famous “lost city” and the archeological sites nearby offer unparalleled examples of Inca engineering, including mortarless stone-fitting, irrigation systems, terracebuilding, farming, and metallurgy. It is a truly mystical experience to pass snow-capped peaks, cloud forests, and smaller Inca sites as you walk the same trail that the Incas themselves used 600 years ago to approach their citadel of Machu Picchu.

Q’inti offers a one-of-a-kind camping and day experiences, with new, specialized equipment carefully chosen to function perfectly in the near-freezing nighttime temperatures. Our highly-trained, ever-friendly guides, chefs and porters turn any of the day or over night hike into an unforgettable experience.

Great alternatives to Inca Trails

It’s no secret that over the last 2 decades the Inca Trails have seen an incredible increase in hikers. To safeguard the environment and to ease the negative environment impact, the trails have become heavily regulated. Often cramped into designated camp grounds can lessen the experiences on these wonderful hikes.

As a highly environment conscious company Q’inti would like to suggest a few amazing alternatives. The treks give you the best of the Andean landscapes in a less crowded environment. And of course Machu Picchu will be part of the experience.
